Secret Cities Aberdeen
Over four week long residences in 2016 and 2017 Andrew Brooks and writer Adelle Stripe, explored and photographed some of Aberdeen's most fascinating unseen buildings.
From Crypts beneath Masonic Temples and Winter Gardens at night, to clock towers and forgotten cemeteries. These photographs sat alongside Adelle's writing which told the stories of the buildings and history of Aberdeen. Visit the Secret Cities Aberdeen gallery to see these locations and many more.
The project was commissioned by Curated Place for Spectra Festival of Light Art 2017 and was exhibited in Marischal College and the exhibition space in Seventeen. The project was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is part of the Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology.
